worse thing is a loooong narrow venue, where you have main speakers in front of you...and there are some more ones on the other side of the venue...
the problem is ... they are delayed
I played in such situation :(
btw...guys I play like every weekend...and I haven't played on Xone or Ecler...rane...urei...yet :(
I mean...I tried them at a shop in Prague indeed...but I can't afford it...and the clubs here seem to be in some kind of similar situation...or they just don't want to invest money in a mixer :( |

Club standard seems to be one of the following:
DJM 500/600
A&H X0ne 62/92/464
That is from my experience. |

heh,
the clubs here are all DJM600. |

| Here in Australia it's mostly DJM 500/600/1000's and A&H Xone 62/92's. |

yah, melbourne would have some A&Hs... I think that's where their dealer is. |

i have only seen a xone being used in 2 clubs in melbourne... i think one was a xone62 the other a 92
most clubs i go to seem to use, either a DJM800 or DJM1000 but those are generally the bigger clubs in melbourne... it is also common to see the good ol DJM600 getting thrashed around at other venues.
I had the Pioneer vs A&H dilema when i was purchasing, but i went for the 600 over the xone62... i think the xone62 is overkill for me, and if i did upgrade i would get an 800.
my order of preference is 1. DJM600 for a well priced quality mixer, 2. xone62 awesome build and sound quality 4 band. 3. DJM800 higher price but craps all over the 600/xone62
thats my .02 |

In melbourne I club called area 61 had a djm of some sort, they switched to an A&H92 and all the djs didnt like it because it was too complicated for them so they switched back.
I wonder what kind of tracks they play? :stongue: |

area 61... isnt that all elektro house and stuff ?
if uve never used a 4 band mixer b4, it might scare you when what you would normally use has only 3, and suddenly now u have 4... i spoken to a few of melbournes trance djs and the vast majority of them all backed up the pioneed mixers
nothing wrong with A&H however (i hear their componants are the best) , its just mixed opinions.
either way if u can say that you can afford either a djm800 or xone62, you cant go wrong with either |

Too Complicated? OMG, four EQs? What do I do? :haha:
Xones make everything else feel like toys. |

HAHAHA!
OMG, wat's this "filter" thing. OMG, it's a knob, u mean it doesn 't automatically set the effect according to the beats like in the pioneer? OMG, that's crap! |

I don't understand your slang. And when I said "those are the clubs you'll most likely be playing" or similar, I wasn't excluding myself. ;)

QFE = Quoted for Emphasis ;)
