Yeah well now they're gonna do it again.

I've never really been a fan of minimal but I think the next big thing will probably be melodic progressive stuff, whether it's trance, house or breaks. That stuff is already fairly popular, but I can see it making a comeback....stuff a little more reminiscent of the mid late 90s and early 00s progressive sound, stuff Sasha & Digweed, Nick Warren and Dave Seaman used to play. They still do, esp Nick Warren. Stuff by guys like Snake Sedrick, Jay Lumen, Retroid, Damien Heck, Yvel & Tristan, Benz & MD, Cassino & Laben among others...I can see that taking over, but so far it hasn't completly cought on. Seems like the trend the past few years has been electro-house and minimal, with still some DJs playing melodic trance and tech trance. I agree that minimal is boring. It's nice to have some music that is enjoyable to listen to and dance to.

havent been around? they have put good records out, this one just so happens to have caught on with just about everyone, it has blurred the lines even more.. any genre dj has and will play it

I think their comment is dumb, they shouldnt speculate, just shut up and keep making music.

progress trance (which at parts can easily mix with prog house too), Son Kite, Vibasphere, New stuff from Kuisma, Tegma, Chris Micali, Greed, Fitalic, Martin H, Liquid Soul, andre absolut, d-nox & beckers, flowjob, antix etc moving uptowards the more upbeat Human Blue, Ticon, Tegma, P.O.T.S, Jaļa.

I haven't heard a lot of minimal, from what I have heard it's not really my thing. But Rej is seriously one of the coolest ing songs I have heard in a long time. Can actual fans of minimal back me up on this? Is Rej quality? When I check out the minimal on beatport it all sounds like boring but I love Rej.
