Bored at work + nessesity = CDJ Stands

So, this is my last full week at work before they cut me down to a wopping 24 hours because we are so slow and start what they call a "work share". Everyone has nothing to do, and guys are ing the dog or making stuff for them selves.

I thought why not. I have been looking for a CDJ stand for some time now, and with the lack of hours at work, theres no way I could afford them, so..............heres what I came up with. Just needs a nice coat of flat black paint :D Made of aluminum square tube stock, and aluminum angle bar.

The trey also swivels so you can change the angle of how the CDJ's sit. ;)

What do ya think? Yay or nay?

Not too shabby, I'd say! :)

Muthaf*ckin' Yay !

agreed though, they do need a good coat of black paint...an the fact that they swivel to adjust thr angle kicks ass, how do they lock in place when you swivel them?

only thing i would do differently however, is make the vertical part of the stand telescoping, bit more involved, because when you want to adjust them to less of an angle (if ya ever wanted to) they would probably feel strangely higher than they should be...

they look to vertical? anyway you can cut the angle down? other thna that i would say nice work!

It does adjust up and down, and that pic was taken at 4am, when I brought it home from work in anticipation and just snaped a shot before I went to bed. I havent actually adjusted it to a nice position yet, but ya, its fully adjustable, including the trey thats slotted for fitting something smaller like lets say....a laptop :D

It main trey locks with a big half inch bolt. The rest locks with little 1/4 inch screws and set screws.

Im going to bring the trey back to work tonight and engrave the Pioneer logo in the front, so that when I paint it, the word pioneer will be left in aluminum colour ;)

Next project is a laptop stand for Transid. If anyone needs anything similar, now is the time to ask me, and I could use the money :)

I might be interested in getting the same CDJ stand you're making for yourself.

I'll try and get Brians laptop stand done tonight. As for another CDJ stand, I used alot of material, and it took me a long time, so it wont be THAT cheap, hows 200ish sound, painted and ready to rock? I'll finish mine first before I make anymore.
