Kiddy porn... Well, you can't stop that but there is already a policing organ devouted to tracking down child porn. But like all criminal activities, you can't stop all of it.

I agree with you to some extent...but trying to track down these online predators wouldn't hurt either along with educating the children...
Currently there are individuals in law enforcement that are working to track down these online predators...
But if tracking these people would be done at the expense of our privacy then that would not be cool at all...
I think I've just made up my mind :) |

Ok. Just what percentage does pedophiles make up of internet users? Very, very, very fraction of 1 percent?
So you're in favour of restricting everyone else's privacy so that the police can go after that very fraction of 1 percent of sickos?
Needs of many outweigh the needs of few in this case, no? |

I suppose you can think no to that but what I was mostly talking about was children pretors , that is more like what I was aiming at - haven't you seen that DATELINE special thats on every couple of weeks/months where these fukkin creeps talking over the internet to a supposed 14 year old on myspace website and these creepy men that show up to the girls house with condoms in their pockets, beer & liquor (when she is supposedly underage?), and other things such as pornography..ect. There is absoultly no way that they internet could EVER be monitored. The concept is just not feasible in any regard.
I recently saw on CTV on Septemeber 11th night news that there are so many conspircy theories on the net too, for example the recently the 9/11, people where claiming that the USA was behind the terrorist attacks. Which I think that's complete bull - and supposedly 1 out of 5 americans believe it! that's what ultimatly astounded me!
Anyways, it's can't be done, but it would be nice if it could be... Who knows what the freakin' net will be like in 2016? I can't wait to see........ |

We need less regulation of the internet, not more. What we need more of is PLUR.
Please don't mix regulation of the internet (ideas) with airport security; they're very different issues . |

I said I watched it on CTV apart of the newscast that evening on sept 11th.... anyways, I never said any personal comment on any conspiracy theory, i just think it's bull that american government had anything to do with the terrorist attacks on Sept 11th... that's all, people can think what ever theories they want and post them on the net with videos/photo's/ect and the internet can not monitor these activities....
