Sounds pretty uninteresting to me. Shame, because I like almost all of Holden's stuff, both old and new.

Ppl here seem to be overly critical based on a crap sample. One thing is to judge a track after hearing it live, another is to criticize a 30 second 64kb sample...

There's always the home listening factor though, plus the option to spice it up using the beats from another track.

I'm already looking for a set with the track. I'm sure this guy will play it a way we'll all be in :eyes:
I love these tracks were it so easy for each dj to play it his/her own way

I listened to a two-minute sample:

Sample

It just kind of plods along and isn't very interesting to me. If any track is like that for two minutes or more at a time, then I don't consider it worth buying.

He has done much better tracks in this sort of spaced-out / glitchy vein.

How this even passes for music that someone is actually expecting to sell is beyond me.

Complete .

I actually think it sounds pretty cool, but not for 8 minutes.

+1

It was implemented on At The Controls disc 2 fairly well and I didn't ever hear a whole barrage of complaints about it being on there. It's not a stand-alone track, it's really weak and there's nothing much to it. But if used as a short little build up and mashed with something else it can sound alright.

sun spots isnt too bad, i can imagine it early in a set though, id be interested to hear the entire thing though still.

lava flow sounds pretty cool from the 30 second sample, not really something that i can imagine sounding too well played in one go in a club, but im sure holden could find a place. progresses fine for me, soothing like with most holden productions.

The sample for Lava Flow sounds pretty good, but I'll wait until having listened to the full-length track before I judge.

Im a hugh Holden fan but I cant stand when hes making these pointless tracks that are just a bunch of noise, its like he forgot how to play synth/keyboard. I definatly miss the days of "Nothing" and "A Break in the Clouds", tunes that actually had some melodies to them.

Maybe hes trying to grow out of that sound though, I hope not, his nazi trance remix was decent but was just too repetitive and just dragged on until the end where those lush melodies finally came in. I just think he could have done alot better. I dunno.

that tune with holden isn't so bad.. tbh i can even say i like it
