MellyMel: I'm really sorry this happened to you. I don't wanna make excuses but I'm good friends with Piet and I know he's going through some rough times in his personal life at the moment. I guess the jerk bugging him in the booth, your comments and all the other bad things last night was just too much for him to handle and he took it out on the wrong people.
I'm really shocked to read Mel and Thomas' posts because Piet is really a genuine and nice person, both inside and outside of the club, and I've never seen him being a jerk or rude to anybody. I hung out in the backroom in SF the whole night with Piet and the other Dutch boys but I seem to have missed the drama between Piet and Thomas (Wanna PM me, Thomas?). All I know Piet hadn't slept almost at all in 48hrs so he was exhausted and maybe a bit cranky? :confused:
I'll ask Piet to post something here so we can get his side of the story too....

I know what happened in San Fran because I was there and he got pist about my comment where I said his whole set was good EXCEPT FOR ONE SONG. Not a bad ratio if you ask me. Also, it's my opinion.
Thomas won't PM you about what happened in San Fran because it was long ago and no need to bring it back up. Just like Piet didn't have to bring it up last night.
Either way. I'm a chick. He was disrespectful. You can count on him never coming again cuz I'm calling my friends at BANG + Ultra to tell them what happened.
edit- better off if he doesn't post anything in my opinion. Or else we'll have another Dave Dresden episode. |
