Akridrot, try drinking ales/stouts with a proper food accompaniment, and you will get used to the flavours. DO IT! :p |
Yeah I always find Guinness goes really well with hearty, simple pub food. |

Definitely. Head to an Irish pub and get some braised lamb, cooked in Guinness. Oh baby. |

Holy , I just tried some and boy does it taste ing awful. I thought it would taste good after I started drinking Heineken (which tastes like soda).
, this leaves HORRIBLE aftertaste in my mouth. I'm struggling to finish this bottle. Why does it taste so bad?! |
here are your reasons,
1. Who the drinks guiness from a bottle!?!?! maybe the odd can, drink from the cold tap my friend
2. Guiness is an aquired taste, i went through the same stage, every time u go out have one, when u start the taste, go for two, before you know u will fall in love :D |

| Ill add to the guinness fan club, even got myself a nice guinness poster for my room :wtf: It is an aqcuired taste i would say, it'll come after trying many a different beer and actually understanding what beer is supposed to taste like and overcoming that initial bitterness and enjoying the taste of each one. I would recommend wheat bear for initiates and then move on to some pilsners or lagers, later ales, and finally stouts, at least in my book :p |

Pilsner is fully awesome. Loves me a good pilsner:D
Nice progression with your beers/lagers/stouts there too. Good advice! |
