Do you like your mixer angled?

I'm building a DJ booth, and I'm curious how you guys like to set up your mixer. In an ideal world, how would you like your mixer angled? 0 degrees is flat on the table (as if you just put the mixer on a flat table), and 90 degrees is vertical (so the wires would be coming out of the top).

I'm mostly trying to decide between 30 degrees and 45 degrees...but I'm curious how everyone likes their mixer to be.

I voted 30 degrees, but in reality most likely prefer closer to 45.

No CTS for me!

I think mine is at around 20 or 25

I just put a book underneath the front.

Had to use one in a club for 6 months that was at 45 degrees almost, and was very high off the ground. useless

My console is motorized so I can very the angle from 45-flat at the flick of a switch. For me it depends on the layout. If your console is setup with the mixer direcly infont of the turntables (think the usual NYC rotary setup) than I like it more on the steep side. If the mixer is between the turntables, than I like it more on the flat side.

Make a temporary setup with some books or whatever and see what you like.

Over vert.

Or flat, either's good.

why would you have it tilted that way? do you mean a book in the back?

is anyone measuring these angles or just guessing? Most people estimate hills to be twice as steep as they really are.
When I've looked into coffins for my gear I've see mostly 10 degree on the mixer rack, and that seems about right.

If the table's not too high, totally flat.

What mixer are you installing? If it's already got an angled faceplate, make sure you don't end up with too high an angle over all and I definitely wouldn't recommend installing a mixer at more than 15 degrees... 45 is just ridiculous.
