i've used one, but not too in depth. just from the couple of hours i spent with it i myself will be buying one. its a great tool. the sound is not the best but ok. i mainly used it to loop vocal cuts and extend the ends of my tracks.
hope this helps clovis ;) |

Baisically it will let me do what I like about ableton (creating seamless loops of a certain # of bars that hold perfect time) and let me get more creative while mixing.
We're gonna get it on Thursday so I'll report back with how I like it. |

| yep. thats what it does. i just love the fact it keeps perfect tempo. trying to make a perfect loop on a cdj is near impossible. right now i use an extended delay loop on my efx to loop stuff. but i will be getting the pvdj in a few weeks. |

Werd, I can make small loops on CDJs but making a 16 bar loop that will hold time is ing impossible :wtf: |

why's that? i've been thinking about getting new cdjs mainly for the better pitch resolution and looping. now i have to edit every intro/outro i need to extended on my computer first and the burn, which is a ing hassle. but i dunno if it's worth it then if the looping function is crap on the cdjs! :nervous: |

It's not crap, it's just difficult.
If you're decent enough at riding the pitch and have a fair amount of practice at looping, you can hold a 16 beat loop for a decent enough amount of time, but it takes a lot of work/practice.
These things make it so ing easy it hurts... :)
Again, I must stress, these are a LOT of fun. |

| If you are looping with the cdj's your finger must press the loop button EXACTLY when the new bar starts/ends. If you are off by just a fraction of a second its noticeable. |

+1
its not that cdj looping functions are crap, its just damn hard to be as accurate as a machine. |
