Just walked down Mass. Ave. in Boston and saw the windows papered up w/ a For Rent sign where Satellite Records once was...goddamnit rent costs :(

it all happened cause i guess he has ownership of the store rather then satellite and rent is too much...

anyway...

Virgin mega, is also closing, they just had all their records on sale for $5, and everything is 30+ percent off there.

i just got 6 xbox games to sell to game stop :)

death of the recording industry and birth of the independant recording artists.. slowly but surely, everythings being transferred to the internet. it's only a matter of time where our brains can get plugins to run windows :eek:

I went to the local record store here in Philly and found so many great classics. Picked up a Sasha record that was REDICULOUS and saw it was 1997!!!!!!!!! Horse or something it was called, had god awful lyrics in it though. :p

It's definitely a sad thing but it would have been an even bigger blow to me if I hadn't switched over to buying mp3s for new tracks almost exclusively

Yeah that was the best Record shop around.

But I dont buy vinyl anymore, switched to mp3s.

That's the real problem. The could probably afford the rent if ppl still played records.

What she means is that people probaly use CD,Albeton and also internet sites carry more product aswell.
