RITM? Biggest joke of an EDM act EVER. WTF is with some jackass in a giant bee outfit running around like an idiot? The music sucked too. Aparently seemed to be rapping something awful in the end. Just terrible IMO. |
what the hell were you expecting from them? maybe you just didnt know what it was going to be like. That was my first rabbit show and I was mad hyped about it. I was really close to the stage too and I loved it. There was no rapping about anything at the end, did you leave early or something?

It was my first time seeing Rabbit also, I thought it was awesome. Me, Toni, and Suzy were on the side of the stage and we could see it all great. The music kicked ass too. When I was first told what their performances were like I didnt think I would enjoy it. I was wrong because I loved it. They are definitely different!! I HIGHLY doubt you needed to be close to the stage to get the full effect from these guys. I'd definitly like to see them again.
The weather was perfect. I was surprised at how good the sound system was. Ferry played an awesome set as usual. Suzy threw it down as always. I am sure there will be a Sunset 07.
Suzy and Brian, you guys are the best. <3 ;) |

I sat through RITM 10 feet from the stage for the first 30 min or so. After a bunch of random theatrics, we got bored and listened to another 30 outside of the crowd. So perhaps my statement about them sucking is a bit uneducated. In the end, we all like different styles of music. Glad you guys enjoyed them.
Did anyone go to the afterparty w/ Richard Vission? |

I reached there around 5:00 - so got about half an hour worth of Darude show and pretty much all of Carl Cox, RITM, & Ferry.
In my opinion, Ferry was a slight disappointment. He got it going quite smooth but never really peaked out. Or atleast i expected much better.
Darude was good, Carl Cox brought a lot of energy and RITM were freaking awesome. Oh my goodness - i was about to leave when this guy came up and started asking the crowd to chant "rabbit ... rabbit". I was like this is gonna suck big time. Good that i didn't let the prejudice dominate the curiosity. What followed was almost hypnotic. Actually, i enjoyed all the theatricals of the guy who came dressed in those space-gen suitings. It blended very well with whatever RITM was playing. I still don't know what genre he plays, but i liked it and definitely enjoyed it. Every moment of it! Not something i can play in my car or enjoy in the quiet comfort of my apartment but definitely worth driving a couple of 100 miles to experience it live. They were the best package of the evening. The finale, with that entertainer in traditional thai-costume doing the fire-dance was a treat to watch.
The best part of the evening was this little girl (like 3 years old) who got up the stage and danced to ferry. Perhaps that's the best tribute that ferry will ever recieve in his DJing career.
In between i checked out Suzy's little camp. It was good to see a bunch of people boosting her up. Suzy is good but it clearly wasn't an evening for those little isolated camps.
On stage at some time were Suzy, DJ Mondo, Kidd Leow, Santana, our very own club goddess looking quite pretty, some pretty Amps entertainers, that horrible replacement singer for Plummet (with Burgess who lent her beautiful voice to "cherish the day" and "50 ways to leave your lover" having left DJ X for some strange reasons) and, yes, the "guy with the Mic" who i think actually said once "Come on amphitheatre".
All in all, good show. Thanks to Santoro for trying out something like that. |

| How could I forget, that baby! She would put her hands up and the whole crowd would do the same, she must have been mesmerized. She was dancing and everything. Ferry was cracking up. I gave her a pat on the head later on in the crowd. I'm sure her future in EDM is very bright, lol. |

I was about 15 feet from the stage. I just wasnt impressed with RITM.
The baby was amazing though I can't believe I forgot about her. Ferry loved it when she got up there it was awesome
Oh and about Sunset 07, I know a girl that bartends at Amp and she said that she heard them talking about trying to get Tiesto and possibly Armin for Sunset 07. I also talked to a promoter at the end of the show and she said that next year there will definitely be a Sunset 07 because of how successful this one was |

Tiesto or Armin @ Sunset 07 FTW, thanks for that info.
Even with "lower quality" LOL! DJ's like Ferry and Cox, its an awesome event, period.
Maybe we'll eventually be on the map w/ Ultra, Bang, and all the damn Miami people. |

I was only about 2 rows behind you then. Crazy how we could be so close to each other and meet over the internet. :p
Thanks for the pic, I'm saving it. |

It is funny that we all were so close to each other and yet probably will never know who was who :).
As for that little girl's pics and video's, i actually have almost 3-5 min of her crowd-mesmerizing act and like 5-10 nice pics. I left my card with her dad asking him to email me so that i can send them back to him.
I just felt it was not appropriate for me to put it on a public forum without his permission. |
