ok so its ummm prbably like 6 am right now im not really sure but after having a banging night dowstairs at the bar with danny torrence for the dirty pre party for cox i slowly made my way up to the main room, and alll i have to say IS AWEEEEEEE!!!!!!. for someone that really does not like techno at all, seeing this man do his thing made me appreciate it a hell of lot, absolutely ING slammingggggg!!!!!. ripper after ripper after ripper the man was on fire, i dont think i have ever danced so much to a techno dj ever.... super content with the night the sound was flawless and COX made it that much better as well. its great to see stereo booking such diverse styles of EDM this was a wicked night and im sure its probably still going on and the Whole TA crew is going at it while im writing this mediocre review. ERICA, NICK , HAKIM, SelMA, ALICKSSSS :P, i expect to see all your reviews about the night after i bounced.

oh.my.ing.god.

What an epic night!!!!

I was expecting more housey commercial stuff to be honest. From the moment we got there the music was awesome. Techno sounds so damn good on that system.

When Carl came on around 230, he unleashed a non-stop techno beatdown. Rolling, chuggy basslines everywhere.

This was one of those special nights where everything was perfect & beyond expecations.

I really like how this was a Thursday jam. The place was full, but certainly not packed. Better still, everyone was an enthusiast, everyone was there because it was Carl and not because it's Saturday @ Stereo (which I relly like too btw). The crowd was totally up for it and there were about 150 people there when we left at 715.

Highlight of the night was XL dropping Chemical Brothers - Under The Influence. I can die a happy man having heard that tune on a mighty system like Stereo's. I heard the little openning sample and it stopped me dead in my tracks. ing Awesome.

Now, for a nice lazy day of playing records and avoiding my cell phone when work calls.

No . afterhours on Thursdays, seriously.

some say afterhours on a thursday, I just said work.

The thursday night guarantees that it's a room full of enthusiasts who are there for a reason. I have nothing agains random clubgoers who just like to party. The industry needs them. But, they have their regular days.

Something like last night was a treat that gets shared with those who already knew that the night was going to be good. The enthusiasts got the treat that they wouldn't have gotten on a more commercial Saturday night (just my opinion...a guesss...).

Call the music whatever you will. It's old style, big room party tunes (BUT NOT TRANCE, dear god not trance). It had hints of hard house, techno, trance... hell, there was even some circuit feel to some of the tracks. But, last night everything was blended seamlessly into a monster track that was slightly less than 3 hours, because the whole thing sounded so damned seamless.

It was constant, rolling, heavy yet not too hard & stompy (ie:cold German/Rotterdam styles)

Afterhours during the week should be reserved for Ibiza only.

its defenetly harder on the weekdays i must agree but as promiss said it really is for the enthusiasts, those who appreciate the music and ontop the amount of people is probably perfect in numbers enough space to move not to packed just right and everyone going full throatle.
