I'll say this much now Greg; I've really done my best to try and at least listen (if not review) to a lot of "amateur" DJ's since I began using TA as a vehicle to promote myself and my own music. Out of all the DJ's who I've taken the time to listen to month in and month out, you stand above the rest as the one DJ who it seems to me has "grown" the most as an artist in such a short period of time (I've only been here 2 years ;)).
I really think that each time you bring something new to the table it's just that; something new. Never the same old, same old; Always fresh. I'm not sure that I can compare it to anything perfectly, but it's almost like seeing someone learn a new language. At first, it seemed a little jumbled, but right from the get go it was clear what you were trying to get across. And here we are a couple years later and it's as if you're speaking fluently and directly, with purpose. I'm not sure that's the best analogy I could make, but it's the only one I could think of this quickly.
In any event, I'm very impresssed - You've got nothing but good things in front of you as an artist... Now don't go and screw it all up by becoming a "promoter" :p |

ok, so begining at the begining..
- i think the intro monologue doesn't match the set particularily well which is a shame.
- i think your climb from the downbeat opener to the first minimal tech house tune could be a lot more subtle by including a few more tracks, but i have no idea whether you had time constraints forcing you to abolish such options.
- also in regards to the first minimal tech house track: major volume differences between it and the preceding & following tracks.
- tocadisco's remix sucks :p (think vegas, think vegas :p)
- i'm not sure the inclusion of tocadisco's remix at it's position was a good call: the track before it was all glitchy short sounds, the track following it is driven by synth stabs; and at the moment i think the pad and vocal driven Take Control makes no sense to be the inbetween track.
- the mix between tracks 5 and 6 works trackselectionwise - could be more fluid by starting it earlier.
- again, regarding the 6 through 8 transitions.. this time i'll phrase it as a question: why go from acid to peaktime-minimal-tech-house and back to acid again?
- 8->9->10 sweet transitions on all accounts man.
- 10->11 works.
- 11->12 hmm, seeing as 12 is your finisher, i think it's not a good idea to switch grooves, energy levels, and most importantly, the vibe. Babicz's track works in complete opposition to the rest of the set imo, it's also the loudest played track in the mix.
i wrote those as a consutructive review, i hope my tone wasn't too harsh or anything like that, and that they'll be taken in the spirit they were written. :) |

This set features a lot of different styles, which definitely entertains the listener.
I love the track @ 36:00 :crazy:
That last track is quite a monster as well.
