if anything, he sometimes goes close to tech house
but yea...holden hasnt been known for flawless mixing....i still wouldve loved to go last night despite that cos of the track selection |

No no, I liked the rest of his set. it made for a good time to go home anyways...
but a guy like holden I didn't expect such bad mixing from. this wasn't just off. |

yea, was looking forward to meeting the TC princess, but oh well... :( :( :(
i thought i knew my limits but i drank wayyyyyyyyyy too much and got kicked out for 'decorating' the floors. oh man that was rough. but i was somewhat ok enough to enjoy the first couple of hours of Holden's set. was pretty good, but i wished i was there for the whole set.
thank you sasha for helping out me and my friend. you da bomb!

I thought it was all right. I danced. there were a lot of big tunes from the airy fairy tech prog category of music being produced right now. not much minimal...lee's set was great.
Then around 4, Holden couldnt carry a beat if his life depended on it. trainwreck after trainwreck stopped the dancefloor dead in its tracks. It was absolutely horrible! I got my coat....it totally killed my groove. |
that was beyond weird...it was soooo bad at the end that I assumed tech issues, but who knows.
I had a great time...the music was very good...I just don't really know how to classify it...airy fairy tech prog works for me though, lol.
I was quite impressed with my first visit to Footwork...cool staff...nice to see Jamie bartending there...rememeber him from 5ive and my old gym...non-drama security...decent crowd...and I love the space. I will definitely spend more nights there.
Sarah, thanks for arranging guestlist! I should have gone home when we left...and I actually did...for about 5 minutes. I then jumped in another cab and met Kevin @ KH around 4:30...he and a promoter walked me in (big thanks to them for that) and I caught the bulk of Rank 1's set in KH. I was *wiped* and had zero energy left...but it was nice to see a handful of TAs in KH.
Holden impressed me...and I will definitely be back to Footwork...now I'm upset I missed Hybrid and Coombs nights there, because it should be a great venue for breaks too. |

We got to Footwork just before 2am. I love the staff there. Best ppl ever. Keep it up guys! Holden's set was full of energy and made me wanna dance hard at the beginning :) Then he started playing some really dark stuff which i liked alot. Not gonna comment on his mixing skills and mistakes. He's a really good dj and he had proven this during the first half of his set. End even his trainwrecks after 4am didnt bother me at all, they kinda fitted his style. This music is still new to me though, and It will take some time to get used to it. But I definetly liked it. There's some enigma involved in this genre. cant really explain.
Great seeing Sarah, who seemed to be the most sober person in the club, but kept complaining how drunk she was. hehe.
Always a pleasure to see little Kelly and big Peter. and too bad Porky got kicked out so early :(
i love footwork and nine. Never a dull moment with these guys.
Cribby, Miluska, Karina... u guys were missed :(
