I think British English is about as ugly as english can get... and english is pretty ugly to start with.
Seriously, I need subtitles to watch ing UK english movies, especially if they are in scottish... holy do they fail. |
So is your problem with the accent or the diction? If the former that's simply because you are unaccustom to it, if the latter then clearly your command of the language is insufficient (which would be your failing). |

Criticizing north american english pronounciation is as hypocritical as you can get. British english is composed in large part of borrowed french words that are horribly misspelt, mispronounced and out of context. |

It's the exact opposite. Quebec french uses old french pronounciations. When new france was colonized, an effort was made to avoid having a bunch of dinstinctive dialects like in france at the time, so only the dialect of the king's high court (which was considered the "true" french) was thought in the colony. |

Maybe a couple hundred years ago your answer would be correct, however, the amount of English words now present in the common use language in Quebec makes your language one unto itself employing outdated French and bastardized English. |

There are some english words being used, but not that many. For the most part, new words have been added to compensate for new terms. Compared to other french nations (especially france itself), Quebec uses by far the least english terms. |

I cannot argue with you as my knowledge of French dialects/regional differences is insufficient, however, please note my point; your criticism of English is equally valid when applied to French. |

French french perhaps. But even then, it doesn't disort english to the same degree as british english disorts french. |
