I'll be in Columbia, MD during the last weekend of October. If I were to hop down to NYC for Burridge on 10/28 and back on 10/29 what would be the best mode of transportation? Cheapest? Fastest?

We do have access to a vehicle but we aren't sure about parking in NYC.

Help please...:)

Thanks! :D

take the bus?

Am-Trak should be your best bet. You don't have the responsibility of driving so you can be as wreckless as you wish and since am-trak travels with a food cart usually located in the back, you're able to walk to-from where as you'll be locked up on a bus.

fastest is probably train.

chepest is chinatown bus.. :p

hahah my parents live like 2 minutes from columbia...in ellicott city...

anyway, i have driven and taken the train to nyc- and i personally always found driving the easiest. you can control how long it takes to get there and parking never has been an issue. it's the cheapest too. amtrak is fast, but probably the same amount of time as driving but you're gonna pay a lot more for it.

i can usually make it to nyc in 3.5 hours from columbia...

Yeah, Amtrak looks to run $167 per person.

Any suggestions for parking if we decide to drive?

word to the wise...

driving in manhattan on halloween weekend is brutal.

if you have friends in the outer boroughs (brooklyn, queens), park there.

you do not want to be driving around manhattan that weekend.

theres plenty parking on 42nd & 7th...:stongue:

nah dont drive.. mass trans is the way to go. you'll be raped on parking fees alone and i doubt you'd have the patience to look for street parking.
