Anyways
ive never went to a club with trance music, i prefer listen it lonely or in my car... i am kinda surprised and a lil disappointed that in trance club, people only jump for dancing... i guess thats why i prefer to go to normal club with rnb hiphop rap reggaeton music, because i kinda prefer a lot more dancing reggea (i heard some ppl reffering to this dance as "freak dance") than just jumping with girls arround me...

do you ever saw people in trance club dancing reggae or youd look pretty retarded?
i know thats pretty weird, cause you cant really reggae when your hearing a "fast" music uch as trance, but in the clubs i go i already heard a lot of time hits such as traffic-tiesto and people were actually reggeaing like mads

I don't think there is that much space to dance around in the first place. So the only thing you can do is jump up and down. I guess if you are bored though you could just run people over in the crowd for no reason at all.

If you do really care about dancing, I would highly recommend listening to other types of music and understanding musical rhythm in a broader sense, and then taking even dance classes for multiple kinds of dances. It is important to understand one's body in space and time, it's like a kind of personal architecture. I learned how to dance salsa, bachata, and merengue, and I had a long experience with playing jazz and latin music before I even went to clubs for house.

One of my best clubbing experiences as far as dancing goes was at a tiny salsa club in guanajuato, mexico (admittedly not havana, but the owner was from that city) I was with several friends and some of them dance salsa extremely well, and I was dancing with my girlfriend - but the most amazing thing was a woman dancing with a crutch, who was perhaps the best of everyone, dancing with a feeling so bodily, so expressive despite her obvious handicap. it showed me the power of knowing one's body. and there is a beauty to a body moving in a harmonic way like there is a beauty to proportions in architecture and in musical intervals. Why do you think UFC fighters train in martial arts in many cases and don't just go out and flail their arms and jump up and down? There is something more about dancing than simply doing whatever you want

I say: get to know your body and coordination by taking dance lessons in another type of music that you might like that has more of a 'method'. Then, go to a club and dance however the you like, as if no one cares. You will have more confidence and more awareness of your body in relation to the sound, the rhythm, the space, and the vibe around you. It's important to feel the music with your entire body, but not with every part of your body at once, of course. Remember you have legs, and feet, and hips, not just an arm with a clenched fist, or a tight designer t-shirt that you want to show off with a guido gorilla lumber

I agree but I dont.

I think if you're truly lost in being able to dance, get someone to teach you how to move your feet. Once you can move your feet, even just a little bit, to the rythm, you're good to go. You build on it and just make your own style and . I didnt have to take any lessons of any sorts to dance. I dont care what people think of me when im dancing, all I care is for them to bring positive energy towards me as I do to them.

Well actualy, a couple years ago I started getting into b-boying but I fell off that pretty quick. Didnt learn much. Some uprocks, but I never do those moves at the club anyway. I just do me. I let the muic travel through my body and i basicaly morph into a musical note. Im just letting the music express itself through me. Kind of like being possessed by the music. Dont try to control the music, let the music try to contol you.

it has nothing to do with this.

Its about dancing how you want.

Some people can dance reggae if they wanted to at rave type clubs. Some people can bboy, crip-walk, shuffle, crazy footwork girls with the big asses (I LUV YOU!!!), people jumping around, people head banging, doing MJ . You can dance how ever. Thats what I love about it is that you see so many styles its just like the on of the best ways to celebration life.

Oh yeah, totally - I'm about controlling the body, not the music - once you know your body and how it moves when you let the music control you, you will move better.

Like if you're doing Jazz Improv, just playing anything isn't going to work very well unless you're already really skilled - there are some considerations for key, chord, style, etc. And practicing rudimentary things like jazz scales creates muscle/ear memory that allows you to move/hear well on the spot while improvising.
