In long, this thread wasn't created by you, I saw it, watched the vid, and replied to the original poster (not to you).

In short, no.

OMG memories. I LOVE northern lights. Once when I was in Nunavut in the middle of the winter (it was like -50 degrees celcius at the time), I was lucky enough to experience the aurora borealis. I've seen them before, but it was soooo spectacular in Nunavut...(I guess the colder it is, the more vivid they are).

The Inuit people have an old belief, that if they whistle outside at the sky, the lights will come closer and dance.

Mona, don't make fun, lol

Wow...that really is beautiful...

I love watching the northern lights on a cool winter night.
One of my favorite things in the world to do.
After I've had enough, curl up to a nice warm fire and bask in thought of the awesomeness of Mother Nature

...with hot chocolate...:toocool:

oh yea...

If you've ever wondered why the aurora borealis is on the dark side of the Earth all the time, wonder no more...

nature gives the best light shows:
lightning, meteroshowers, northern lights...

i watched them all summer this year in manitoba. and yes, that is an old aboriginal belief that they will start dancing more when you whistle at them. i tried and it seemed to work. if it's true or not ... who knows ... but it is nonetheless a spectacular experience! i can't wait to move back there.
