What I want to know is what are you thinking when you take something like that back to the retailer? If they don't warrant you an automatic replacement, why even leave it with them? Any technical or mechanical malfunction can only be replaced and refunded by the manufacturer? You should of tried the manufacturer first because they are really good with handling the customer service for their products, especially companies like Sony and Pioneer.

Celestial, I recommend you call Pioneer and explain the situation and ask them to advise, and if need be, go back to the retailer and get your equipment back.

By "going down" do you mean they're going to give you back your broken CDJ so you can contact the manufacturer and have them repair it for you?

If I had a glock and no self concience I would go postal.

Call Pioneer get a case started over there, get names of the people you talk to ... find some way to make your situation trackable over at Pioneer ( perhaps they can give you a ticket/case number for when you call back ).


I'm not saying you're wrong in being pissed off because you have every right to be. But you must look at the bigger picture. Waiting a freaking long time for parts is really not that rare unfortunately

Btw what's the problem with it? Depending on the type of part that needs replaced it could be easier to understand why it takes so long.

I know how all the big players in the electronic business work. I used to work with one of the leading wholesale distribution parts supplier for North America and I know all too well how some of them can drag their feet.
Whenever I needed something from say Sony, Panasonic or whatever and they were dragging their feets giving me a reply or even acknowledging they had gotten my fax I would start harassing them sending the same fax every hour :wtf:
Yeah they got pissed off more than once but they learned to give it to me straight right away :tongue2
There's nothing worse than being a distributor and having to lie or give half assed info to the purchasing stores.

I called Pio, they were nice about it, but they don't have it, there is a service repair center that it was send out to that is under Pio. Now I don't have any clue what to do anymore. :(

So now I feel completely helpless, anybody got an idea as to what am I exactly supposed to do? How can I start a case if the Pioneer themselves don't have it, it's one of their sub shops. :(
