OH Sunrise, those same 'muzzas' probably paid $20 to get in or however much it was & love em or hate em, showed their support for the night just by being there.

so true... i wouldnt really call many from the crowd muzzas... seriously i didnt see any muscle dancers knockin people over or any crap like that.
I had a really good night, top effort from the Obsession crew. Altho it wasnt as big as ZEN was, it was still lots of fun :gsmile: .
I rocked up when Ben was playing, top as always champ. Was good to see ben having a great time on the decks. Love the tee :cool:
Scott and Steve May did a really cool set. Started off progy and turned slightly techish towards the end. Really great stuff lots of crowd pleasing action n .
Jules' set was bangin nicely, good to hear Whiplash also :whip: I always like Jules sets, crowd seemed to like it alot a few people kept asking me for track names that he was playing.
Steve Strangis' set was cool as, nice and bangin. Kind of picked up the pace a little leaving a good vibe for Papa Smurf to bust into. Was interesting seeing Papa at Room but i thought it was a good move. Lots of hooj bangin tracks, emjay rocked ma jox off
Mike Nichol finished off... there was lots of anticipation for Mikes set, it in pwnd, he fukin pwns and his tracks pwn :eyespop: ... awesome bass kicks in alot of his tracks played, a couple remixed classics (dune secrets & hmc lsd). FInished off the night nicely, and it was good to see such a solid set top it all off.
Once again good job to everyone involved i think it was an awesome effort. Shame the crowd wasnt as big as last obsession but nontheless, exams, sasha and diggers and cup weekend would have stolen alot of people but it was still really good and myself and mates enjoyed it alot.

i had fun in the sideroom. numbers seemed to be a tad thin, but from what i could tell everyone enjoyed the music. different atmosphere on this obsession from the last, but as mentioned exams and races would have impacted..
great to see the usual suspects again and hopefully some fun photos crop up. I really liked Julian Reynolds' set as he is able to deliver a sound that is genuinely liked by all (commercial boffins and chin strokers alike).
was falling asleep at about 3:30am or so.. but was woken up by blinky. damn he has come so far and his sets are now awesome.. i love his sound i love how he rocks it and i love how its all his!!! great work billy :P
and special thanks to the 'air guitar genius' for a blast of a night.. |
