Great idea except that we will be leaving in STI #1 at 4am to make it to Ventura by 6am for the Cold Steel parking lot sale. |

2.5L STI = torquey
im a econobox engine hater. i hate tiny ass engines with very little displacement because i like to actually be able to get off the line in a decent amount of time. top end isnt that big of a deal considering your NEVER going to get over 120 unless you are going to the track. |

Nuh uh, I have a supercharged GT. I'm an absolute Porsche nut however, and it's just a matter of a little more time before I graduate and I can afford my 997!

Amen x100 but don't you drive an RS with a meek 166 ft-lb./tq? You hate on your own car? Indeed it is nice to have AWD but AWD drivetrain systems lose more power than RWD so 166 ft-lb. is weak, correct? The STi's are much ballsier than M3's for example because of their torque specs. M3's boast over 330 hp but their torque straight ing blows, it's a little weak ass 262 ft-lb. which is why it pulls just like a turboed Honda/Acura. The RPM's fly and you go fast, but you still feel like you're going slow. This is where TQ owns all because
like you said, how often are you going to go over even 100.
I realize I drive an '01 Mustang GT and it's definately not as classy as an M3 but that's what their about, class. Right now, at the age of 21, I'll take my blown V8 that puts down 394 rwhp, 409 rwtq and gets me through the traps in 12.2! :D My car starts to lose its power
when I hit 140 but how often am I going to be at 140? Close to never. Now getting up to 90 is the really fun part in my car hehe. :tongue3

and yes mine is an rs but thats because my car was taking a and it got me into a car for $241 a month for a first time buyer! i wish it was a wrx but hey i have a new car i dont have to worry about anything other than oil changes and the service intervals. next car is, if everything goes right, an VW MKIV GTI R32 |
