and yes mine is an rs but thats because my car was taking a and it got me into a car for $241 a month for a first time buyer! i wish it was a wrx but hey i have a new car i dont have to worry about anything other than oil changes and the service intervals. next car is, if everything goes right, an VW MKIV GTI R32 |
No doubt GT2's FTW, have you been in one yet? It's nuts. MKIV R32's are nice man! I've always liked GTI's and Golf's and when they came out with an AWD Golf like the R32 with very nice interior/exterior qualities, it caught my attention. I do feel that R32's are overpriced for what you get though. I've seen plenty of TT setups on them though and that's exactly what I'd go for. 450+hp Golf's? Sexy. Can anyone say Dahlback Racing? hehe :D

Two SN-95's and a clean Foxbody notchback. :D I'm not a big fan of Foxbody's or SN-95's but I can still appreciate numbers! ;) |

i havent ever been in the gt2 but its my fav car of all time.
and yeah the r32 is a little over priced in the sense of what you get in the amentities and power blah blah..but your paying for rarity. only 5000 were produced and all were sold in the states. |

Please tell me you are kidding :( My GTI can take one down. You are better off buying a VR6 and throwing a snail in it. The only thing worth a damn are the rims and the exhaust, both of which you can rip off a wrecked R32. The 4motion AWD is primitive to say the least and is ages behind an STI or EVO's AWD. If all you want is looks then go ahead and spend 35k. |

haha 35k my ass. you can get them for under 30 already. also the awd and steering geometry and engine are all from the TT. and dual stage snails on the v6 will own your ass in a heart beat. |

I was dissapointed with the awd system too. lol Haldex lol.
You are better off with what you got. Turbo or not.
The r32 is not that special. |

im a econobox engine hater. i hate tiny ass engines with very little displacement because i like to actually be able to get off the line in a decent amount of time. top end isnt that big of a deal considering your NEVER going to get over 120 unless you are going to the track. |
not as far as the s204 goes 2.0L pushing 320 hp and 300TQ still |

The AWD sucks and so does the traction control. Yes you can get one for under 30k but it will be VERY USED and about 4 years old. As for the dual stage snails, you must be wealthy because you will need about 10-15k to get those installed correctly. I know big guy, I wanted an R32 until I drove one and looked into what you would need to purchase after market to give it a fighting chance.
Honestly Ben, if you want fast you can get a VR6 and put a stage 2 turbo kit for less than a stock r32 and blow it off the road. I am actually at the Volkswagen dealership right now getting my car serviced AGAIN. Expect many many many check engine lights :( I haven't even had mine for a year and I have already had 6 engine codes! |

german cars = expensive to modify. they never have been and never will be cheap.
i guess but even if everything goes right there is still that good chance that i wont get the MK4 R32...mostly cause by that time it will be 4-5 years old if not older and i dont want to deal with that anymore until i make enough to have a around car and a daily. until the day comes when i get a new car i wont know for sure.
p.s. almost had an E30 M3 about 1yr ago. it was too beat though even though the price was right. |

The MK V is going to be god damn expensive and STILL under powered and under torqued. I have no idea why VW wants to sell it for 37K. |
