Don't worry, USA is not invading NK, no plans because there are not enough resources for yet another front. Plus there's no oil or gas in NK - the war will be a total waste of money.
So USA will somehow either pressure China or Russia, but eventually it will be forced to recognize NK's nuclear ambitions discreetly ;-)
On the other hand, USA will use force in Iran, because of strategic location, and more importantly, oil and gas ;-)
However, if NK strikes South Korea / Japan / USA, then American government will come up with an idea to make others fight the war, or will somehow find an aspect of the war on which they can earn some money ;-) Thats my 2 cents. |

China is an 800 pound Gorilla leaning on a twig called NK.
It only makes sense for them to be putting the pressure on since China has the most contact with them... |

CHina might even take advantage of a military situation to deal with it's de facto state Taiwan. Everyone has a motive far beyond simply peace. Every country essentially is asking, "what's in it for me?"
That isnt what everyone should be asking unfortunately.. |

Unfortunately for everyone, there's NOTHING in NK for anyone...
Unless you count millions of starving peasants... :sadgreen: |

Dude! You make it sound that the USA only invades other countrys for their natural resources:haha: :haha: stop reading from Alex Jones, seriously save yourself. Im sure we invaded Vietnam for their natural resources  sure we lost that war, but the aftermath was very significant because we can say that a new landmark was born in Asia w.e thats for another thread.
Modernly speaking, dont think that the USA is in Iraq for the oil, its okay to say it but prove it, dont give me opinions/assumption. bring it one with evidence/facts stop predicting history and just let until history is written down |

Natura resources is not the only reason. There's plenty others, like protecting and/or spreading your political system or ideology. In the case of Vietnam, USA conentionly orchestrated an excuse to stop communism, but it turned out later than Vietnam was fighting for independence and was using Soviet/Chinese help for that.
But my point is, USA cannot afford another front right now.
China actually is interested in pressuring NK to abandon nuclear intentions because this NK thing is starting off arms races in the region that are making Chinese position look compromised. China doesnt want Japan or South Korea building up military arsenals at all.
And Americans might bring their military back, which will push Chinese influence out of the region. NK is ing up Chinese plans with economic and political expansion in the region. |

I am Korean American. i know for a fact that if war broke out there would be massive civilian casualties in South Korea. I don't have the specific number of artillary cannons pointed at the capital of South Korea, Seoul but it is more than 100 cannons. Seoul is really densly populated. It is more densely populated than Tokyo!!! South Korea also has a lot of artillary cannons pointed towards NK. The only chance NK would have is if he used blitzkreig but im sure NK won't hold on for long.
Kim Jong Il isn't a dumbass either. He might be crazy but he is not dumb. China would demolish NK if they attacked SK. NK vs SK would probably result in a stalemate, considering NK has more troops but SK has superior technology. The nukes NK has is just there for international politics. |

Yep, their nukes barely work, but they work. they certainly couldnt make enough to win a war. Now, that is. They certainly would choose nukes over feeding its own people |

Recent NK tests showed just how pathetic NK's missile technology is ... The missiles barely outreached Japan - so USA is not really in danger.
NK should have just not launched them in the first place instead of making their own position weak now. |

Funny thing is, today he said 'sorry' too China.
Which either means he's one of three things.
Probably not sorry
A complete fruitcake
An attention whore
Or a little bit of all three. |
