Angel Moraes & Alan Sax present Stereo, NY Opening Nov 18

In the grand tradition of New York City’s legendary night-life, Angel Moraes and Alan Sax are pleased to announce the opening of Stereo, on Saturday, November 18th, 2006.
In 1998, Angel Moraes was the creative force behind the now world renowned Stereo, Montreal. Soon after opening, the purpose-designed club became a mecca for dance-floor devotees and top talents alike, all seeking to take part in what has been described as a ‘one-of-a-kind’ experience.
Alan Sax has been DJing as well as promoting and producing parties in NYC since 1990. Alan’s vision to bring NYC the best in underground dance music has been his driving force.
It is this same philosophy and intention that Moraes and Sax will bring to Stereo, NY. Says Moraes “We are looking to create a vibe and experience that, according to many New Yorkers, has been missing in the Big Apple for quite some time. Stereo hopes to fill that void.”
Ever true to its underground roots, music lovers can trust that Stereo will be there for them with great music, and of course Angel’s signature Stereo sound. This is Stereo.

| I saw all the info on this over on rhythmism, but the one question I have is what type of sound you guys intend to push. I know some of Angel's work and I'm wondering if there will be a lot of similar DJs performing? Basically, throw out some names of people you've booked or who you would like to be booking. I'm not expecting trance people, but will there be any minimal or straight up techno, or will you mostly be focused on house? |

| stereo montreal seems to bring in a lot of good talent on a regular basis..lee burridge, desyn masiello, mark farina, carl cox, and dj vibe have all been up there in the past couple months..hopefully we'll get a few of those guys to swing through here too |

We've already had all those DJs recently except Desyn b/c he keeps getting "sick." |

yeah i lol'ed when he cancelled back in april (pretty sure it was right around 4/20) due to "chronic exhaustion" |

Has he been here since last December @ Bed? Not that I recall, which is interesting considering he used to be here fairly frequently the year before. |

Yeah, he's notorious for self-inflicted exhaustion. I was really upset he cancelled. Sander was totally lost and boring that night without him. |

we need more promoters bringing in the smaller known dj's (i.e. dominic eulburg, joel mull, menno (yes - a trance dj)) - those are the ones that are more interesting IMO. |
