should i finish this one? It's a blend of melodic and proggy, and I've worked on this for a while - now I'm not sure if I want to finish it. What do you guys think? Of the melody, of the element, of the whole feel the track gives off ...

Lovely harmony, mate.. I'd up the volume of the pads a little bit, to make track more intense. Great stuff.

listening ...

- kick could have a slight bit more punch (slightly higher note, shorten up decay and sustain, etc.) but otherwise does much better than I expected.

- the melody is fine for most of the sample, but it gets a bit old after about 2 minutes. You might use some perc loop work variation to help spice it up a bit. Another thing that could be useful is add a countermelody at higher frequencies ... something that could be done with Atmosphere or Synth1.

- for some reason the sounds don't appear quite as crisp and well separated as I would have thought for a 320 kbps sample. Maybe it's just my headphones deceiving me ... i don't know. Overall I think the eq balance is tilted too heavily in favor of the highs to the detriment of the lower frequencies.

Very repetitive, but beautiful! Sure there are some fidelity issues with the mixing, but overall it was an enjoyable listen. I managed to turn the repetition off by working tediously on my research paper for a few more paragraphs.

I like the bassline, and the kick fits the bassline, except there are some mid-high range inconsistency with the rest of the mix. It's actually not a big issue, really, and is what seperates a good mix from a mint mix.

I like it a lot, I think that if you can get the bassline to be more driving then this will be even better, I love the repetitiveness of the melody in this one, keep me updated on it :)

Hi mate,
this sample is really beautiful, the feeling it imparts is amazing. Parts of it reminds me of M.O.R.P.H tracks, my <3. The vocal samples and little piano part are perfect.
Please finish it!
lagrom12
other ppl mentioned it already and i agree, the melody is very repeative but in this one but thats good! sounds quality is clear and nice

with some more work this could be a very good track, so keep it up stan :)

JakeC
Finish this please! I want a copy to play out on Friday! :D :)

the only thing i can see is the level of the pads. Raise them up a bit.
StanVoid
really great feedback so far, guys, i appreciate that. Seems like the general thoughts are:

- repetitive, but in a good way :p

- needs stronger pads

- lacks some warmth in the frequency spectrum, too many highs - too hissy

well looks like i have my work cut out for me.
