infinity HiGH
Lawler at Sonic?

hahah, ya right
breakawayj
Lawler is still the man....He would tear Sonic a new hole but I doubt we'll ever see it happen.....plus if for some strange reason he was booked there the place would be so over packed it probably wouldn't be worth going........Anyone who used to be a Lawler fan and isn't really feeling his sound right now....I hear ya but honestly when I saw him at Sundance in Mtl this summer it was the best live set I've seen from him ever.....including a few at System, guv, Stereo, etc.....His Skybar set this year IMO was garbage...Just cheese....but I think, now hes finally found his groove with this new minimal, techy, tribal .......I dig it.

I think I would rather see him at Kool Haus with the lights out then at Sonic or any other venue in city.......Unless of course they booked him at a small venue like Footwork and charged like 50+ for tickets....

yup. that gets my vote too.

Speaking of Lawler, has anyone heard his new tripple CD 'Viva the Album'? Any thoughts? I just saw it the other day but didn't give it a listen so I'm curious.

I guess this is a good thread to bring it up in... I've only heard the first disk... It's quality, at times a bit too serious for me. Like as if Lawler is on some mission to make this his electro crunch opus.

The obvious standout track here is "Simpler", killer tune.

If you like that sort of thing, based on the first CD alone you'll be happy with the purchase.

thanks for the input. I was hopeful you would be the one who had heard at least some it. You're opinion is worth more than its share on this stuff.
