I'd been eagerly awaiting Ferry's return to GLOW, since his wicked set in June! This night was just as memorable for so many reasons!
I made it to GLOW right after midnight, and had the chance to catch up with a few friends right away. Soon after getting my second Stoli/Red Bull, I was surprised when I saw Ferry take the decks at 12:45! I definitely didn't mind the early start! Ferry proceeded to destroy with his energetic and relentless set! Almost an hour into the set, Ferry dropped Fire! I just about died! I couldn't have been happier when Ferry followed it up with Galaxia!
Among other tracks that made my night...
Beautiful (yes...I absolutely lost it when I heard this one!)
L.E.F. (absolutely sick!)
Adagio For Strings (I wasn't quite expecting to hear Ferry drop his remix of this beauty...it was awesome!)
Purple Haze - Adrenaline (one of my favorite tracks from Passport!)
In spite of feeling a little tired from a party on Friday night, I still couldn't bring myself to leave till the very end! I was dancing like mad for the past two hours of the set and I was having a blast! It was almost 5 am when Ferry dropped a remix of Fire for his final encore. I was tired, sore, and a little deaf...but still couldn't have been happier! I would've loved getting Ferry's autograph on my LEF CD booklet, but other than that...no complaints! Ferry is hands down my favorite DJ...period!
Last but not least...shoutouts to...Randy, Christian, Claudio, Fireboy Dancer and Brighteyes, Josy (great seeing you after such a long time!), Jose, KManZ (it's a shame you had to leave so early!), Sean, Ceza, Dwayne, Amanda and Jessie, Bedrock Science, Vinnie, T-Muzik, Eduardo, Jonathan and Amanda, 3ddi3 (good luck in Chicago!), Crystal, and Erin (omg...what a surprise)! Sorry if I forgot anyone!

I half agree: DC owns Ferry, but NYC OWNS armin!!! (armin also mentioned on ASOT and in a separate interview that it was his fav place to play) :) :) I am ok with that....Armin has always been my #1, and remember that ferry is still awesome in NYC....But to be honest, toronto was STILL my favorite BANGING set....it was better than DC as a whole for sure!
hehe and I did have fun!...how could you not when ferry points you out and knows who you are...what a lovely feeling...I was on cloud nine for a bit.....holy the guy has a memory and a half!!! :)
And the DC crowd seemed the same as the PVD...RUDE everyone...wtf?? and I had one rude bouncer, and one super nice bouncer arguing with each other over if they should let me up on stage again because of the "STAGE ROTATION" haha can you believe that? haha...the guy who said "hell yeah she should go" won out :) good thing cuz I had a blast up there!! :stongue: :stongue: GO bald guy!! |

Ferry started out just like his last show @ Crobar with the Touch Me remix followed by Air Between. Progressed along those lines (not that I'm complaining) to the middle of the night where he totally took me by surprise and ing banged that out starting from the SvD bootleg of Arctic Monkeys- Sun Goes Down. He had to have been redlining it for a good two hours. Crowd was yeh, pretty horrible but come on we've clubbed in NYC and seen it all, so I was throwing my elbows around at peoples heads and kidneys when they started pushing on me.
Sunday night was even more amazing, a small lounge with Ferry and Pete playing nothing but tech/electro house. Really great I finally got to see that side of Ferry cause I know he likes the electro, but can't really play that when he's doing a big show. I spent way too much on drinks and am completely broke til my next paycheck in 2 weeks :toothless
Definetly worth it though.
Had fun mixing with Casey and Mike and actin a foo', as Kelly can attest to :haha:
