Creator - taking a break until 2007

Hi everybody, there's a lot happening for me at this moment, so this a little round up of what's going on for the next months.
I'm taking a short break of Djing, until 2007 (NYE). My last gig at Aria until then will be Saturday october 28th, and I will honor my 2 other gigs (X-cube birthday party november 24th and a private booking on December 8th). I won't take any other booking beside that.
I will be backfor NYE, with a nice 3 hours gig at the silver 2007 party. Then I will start a new year with new projects, and a new energy. I will start slowly in January (it's usually pretty dead) and should be more active around February 2007.
I have to take this decision at this moment simply because I am very tired. I have been doing this non-stop since 6 years, and since a few months, I can't put the same energy I normally put in my sets,
i'm not as sharp as I know I can be, and most scary of all, I don't hear anything. I don't mean that I'm going deaf, but that my ears are extremely sensible and I just hear noise, no matter if I play low or loud. This mostly happens when i'm tired. I have too much respect for you guys to not be at my best, you pay for a performance, and I don't want to give a half decent one. Everybody knows i'm not doing this for the money.
This decision as nothing to do with Aria. I'm not leaving my residency, or going to play for another club. I am extremely grateful for all the play time and nice gigs Aria has been giving me, and the club as made me a better DJ. It's like home for me, I have no reason to go elsewhere.
I am in a great musical mood, so I will take this time to put more work in my producing that is going very well, and come out with a new set in a few weeks. Actually, I think I have rarely been so excited about what I hear in electronic music right now... Which makes me very hopeful about the futur of electronic music and the scene.
Also, there will be an official, final Ravemontreal 20 around february - march 2007. I have been listening to a lot of comments on my board, and for many, telling people that it was over after RM19 was not the right way to finish this great series of events. They want to gather again for one last time, knowing it will be the last, for one more memorable party. I didn't change my mind about ending the Ravemontreal series, but for once, I think they are right that we can end this thing beautifully.
So until then, hope to see some of you on the 28th, and let's rock NYE!

| Bonne vacance, tu en a certainement besoin pour avoir skippé des track comme ca samedi dernier...what's happen? Est-ce du a un léger disfonctionnement auditif? |

| Oui en effet, c'est exactement ce que mon post fait référence. Sans compter que la source de mes headphones grichait et que j'ai joué avec les moniteurs pratiquement éteints car j'avais trop mal aux oreilles. De là ma décision finale de m'éloigner des clubs pour les prochains mois. |

Met des bouchon l'gros
je met les miens pratiquement à chaque fois que je vais dans un club...
les dommages auditif ne sont pas récupérable
C'EST PERMANENT !
faut prendre ca au sérieux.
même que je conseil à tout le monde ici de se procuré des bouchons spécialisé. |

Martin, I respect you more than any other local DJ in Montreal (as much as that hurts the part of me that is in love with Maus :p, it's true) and as a true fan of your music and your commitment to the scene I want to thank you for the wonderful times that wouldn't have been possible without you.
I can completely understand your need and desire to take a break, 6 years is a long run and after all you are human too, not a machine :p so of course you need your rest. To me this only means you will gather your energy, stack up your collection with new tracks for 2007, and come back stronger than ever. I am extremely pleased to hear that you will concentrate on your productions, and I personally cannot wait to hear them, with your capabilities they are ceritifed bombs already!
The fact that you plan a final RM party is something your fans will have to look to forward to for the next year and I'm sure you will give it your all. I can already predict that it will be one of the most memorable nights of next year's party agenda. Plus it will give me a chance to be a part of a Ravemontreal event, which is very exciting.
I was pissed when I saw that you replaced Marco G on the Loco Dice night because I'm sure you saw I've been saying how you and Maus are the perfect balance for Loco, I came back from a 10 hour shift and read your message too late, otherwise I would of been there front and center! Hope that night was successful and full of good energy :)
You can be assured that I will see you on the 28th, your final night at Aria for 2006. I know you're going to tear the roof off.
Good luck with everything you're producing and planning at the moment, I wish you all the rest that you need and deserve. Kick back and watch some Lynch ;)

Merci pour le conseil Charlie, j'ai déjà joué avec des bouchons mais je n'aimais pas ca pour plusieurs raisons, mais c'est quelque chose que je vais reconsidérer sérieusement.
But i have no significant ear loss, just very tired and need to rest and stay away from pounding music for a while.
