the 800mk1 doesnt play vbr no? so that kinda sucks, i could be mistaken..
but yes the 800 is a great little toy, top notch! i have a mk2 and iv played with an mk1.. both are nice and not hat differnt.... the only thing i felt a big difference is the platter which is the same platter as the dvdj. sickness.....
whoever buys them is in for a treat :D |

The mk2 was designed to have a similar feel as the cdj1000 if im not mistaken.

I love the mk2's jog wheel, but its far more resistent than the mk1s, makin loop manipulations and backspins bit tougher than the mk1s though :P
I guess it's mp3 function may have some good uses, but all in all I dont think there are too many. I burn one track on each cd (Wave data's only on the inner rim of each cd's lens face), burning a whole mp3 library on a cd makes it dangerous (audio data all across a cd's lens face) since it'll be prone to the evils of dust and scratches lol wtv.

No dude, when you burn a regular audio cd it automatically converts the files to WAV anyways- mk1 doesnt play mp3s, irrelevant as to wether they are vbr or cbr |

i guess its for mp3 use or something. maybe it was the 1000 mk2 or something... im not shure :o |

That's all it's used for. I'm sure there are some players that can't use vbr- but 800mk1 cant use mp3 so its irrelevant. |
