Wow. You really take this way too seriously. It's my opinion against yours, and nothing in yoru lengthy diatribe amounts to anything more than that.
Interestingly enough, the majority of episodes you listed wouuld rank pretty high in my "all time worst" South Park episodes list. |
you!

How does justifying my position and having an opinion mean I'm acting bad?
I really don't understand the issues people seem to have with me lately... :conf: |

I love you like a really really hot girlfriend with nice perky and a firm ass.
But I disagree with your opinion of south park. |

And there's nothing wrong with that :)

Wow. That's a slap in the face if I've ever seen one. You dismiss a perfectly coherent and logical arguement first on the grounds that I take it too seriously and second as a rant of nothing more than opinion. Your response is dripping in completely undue condescension and yet you wonder why some on this board don't like you (not that it matters).
First, I love South Park, and think it is one of the best comedy shows in a very long time. I take my analysis of it seriously, as both creators are extremely talented and intelligent individuals who clearly have something to say about society. Sure its comedy. Sure it boarders on absurd at times (as exhibited by the past episode), but nervertheless it is a apt reflection of the times we live in. I will then take it for what its worth, which IMO is a lot.
Second, you say the episodes I have listed are on your "all time worst". That is completely meaningless to the arguement, and I have no idea why you would care to share that unless you were trying to make some shallow attempt to disprove my arguement.
And yes, I do think I am spending too much time on this post over this issue. |

Nothing in your post had anything to do with logic, it was all YOUR INTERPRETATION of the depiction of a corporate entity in a SP episode. You completely disregard the fact that I was referencing two very specific episodes in which it is exceptionally clear that Parker & Stone's approach to dealing with these corporate entities is vastly different than in previous seasons. Never before have specific brand names been so plastered over entire episodes.
It's (not so) subtle mocking vs. blatant advertisement. There's absolutely no comparison. |
