joke called DJ poll. The only problem with this is that it effects the DJ's tremendously because money hungry promoters that don't have a clue about the scene worship this list. And great quality DJ's suffer from the effects. It's vital that the scene establishes some type of list with accuracy as to which DJ's deserve the proper recognition. This internet voting crap has flaws and just like Dave T pointed out it needs to be fixed.

For example DJ Dan couldn't lace up Zab's boots if his life depended on it. In my entire experience photographing DJ's I could never get into DJ Dan. I tried and the guy bore me to death!!!

Christopher Lawrence a higher rank then Sasha??? what has this world come too. By far, I honestly thought this was Sasha's year.

Nothing tops last years ATB ranked in the top 10. (he still plays 9pm till I come) :)

Pay no attention to this nonesense list. However I would like to congratulate Paul Van Dyk for winning the popularity contest for the 2nd straight year in a row!

Christopher Lawrence deserves to be #4.

I agree.

I respect your opinion however I don't agree with it.

Please give list your reasons behind your logic as to why Christopher Lawrence deserves a higher ranking then the legend known as Sasha!

They are both really good DJs doing completely different things, so its not really something you can compare, and this illustrates the idiocy of such a poll in the first place.

That said, publicity wise, Sasha should be above Lawrence.

I agree it would be completly unfiar to compare the two. Allow me to illustrate.

It would be like comparing an Aston Martin (Sasha) made in the UK to a whatever US car you want GMC, Chevy, Dodge, Ford (Christopher Lawrence) made in the USA.

Some great TA once said DJ's are like cars...you get the picture!

The first time I ever heard anyone mention DJ Dan's name was the night Burridge opened Giant at Vanguard and DJ Dan was at Avalon. I had some generally pretty knowledgeable friends who went to Avalon and they are still talking about how great that night was. I know nothing of the guy but it does appear some people like him. I've been trying to find some sets to see what they were talking about.

I'm still suspect as to why they didn't go to Lee though.
