Found the guys who made their helmets. Hefty price tag to reproduce it.

I've spent about $75 trying to making mine

First time using bondo (the fiber-glass filling would of been a better choice I think), and power tools since jr. high so I expected it to not be perfect but it has been fun making it. I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish it before the 31st for Sander K/Spun-o-ween (definitely won't be ready for Andy Moor/1015) with my manager quiting this past week, leaving his workload to me and midterms coming up but will try. Even if I do get the shape finalized, I'm more worried about the reflective metallic/chrome painting :whip:

thanks

yes, lots and lots of sanding, so much that I just ended up buying an inexpensive black & decker 3 speed rotary since I didn't want to bring it into work everyday to use the tools there plus I usually work on it late at night after class. You;ll need the rotary tool for the ears and hard to reach places anyway.

thinking about working on a Guy helmet once things calm down at work and if the plastic shop I went to for the visor is able to make a clear helmet/oval sphere.

dude thats SICK!

Are you also planning to put an LCD in it, that has sweet scrolling text? That would be sick!
gehzumteufel
to be honest i HIGHLY doubt they are allowed to make an reproductions of the helmets. mostly beacuse of not wanting copys and people posing as you.

So how are you going to breath in this thing? Won't it be like all paint fumes and stuff?
