FUN FACT:
There's a premium edition of Halo 3 that comes with a Master Chief helmet...I'd imagine that would be pretty easy to modify into a Daft Punk helmet :p |

My little brother blew the extra cash on the premium edition, and you can just barely fit your own fist in the helmet. Hell, you can't even see through the lens. :( |

| is that made completely out of bondo? well cept for the ear pieces. |

| No i made the mask first from fiber glass, then i used Clay as a form for the extended visor piece and fiberglassed over it. Then Bondo the whole mask. I am currently still on the sanding which is taking a hell of a long time and patience to get clean and smooth |

| No i think a company called LED effects made them from animations drawn by the Japanese artist that did all the animation for the Discovery album |

Hey all,
I was surfing around the net looking for info about the Daft Punk helmets and I came across this forum.
LEDeffects was responsible for the LED matrix displays and the driver circuitry, while Alterian Studios was responsible for the actual helmet fabrication.

If you look on their list of clients, you'll see Daft Punk is there, and if you further peruse their photos and portfolio sections, you'll find some more information as well.
Just though I'd throw that out there, sorry if this is old news to anybody. |
