Burn a .cue file to cd with Nero

so i got an mp3 mix and a cue file for it but have no idea how to burn it to cd using nero so it will work properly. Can someone explain it to me please?

1. Place your mp3 file and .cue file in the same directory
2. Ensure your .cue file has the proper entry against FILE
Open your .cue file using notepad or any text editor and check the line that starts as FILE. It should be
FILE "xxx.mp3" MP3
where xxx is your mp3 file name
3. Nero Burning ROM ->Recorder -> Burn Image |

Try to use this: Cue Splitter, is works better, it splits your long mp3 track into singles tracks, I think is much better this way and more easy to use.

| don't split it before burning. just use the burn image option and when selecting the image select the cue file and you're all set. splitting it and then burning it will most likely cause gaps between the tracks. |

| Nero is the worst program to burn a cue file, i mean it will do it, just takes forever. If you have CDRwin, that works the best. The 2nd worse option is Exact Audio Copy (EAC) which is free, and one of the best ripping programs out there. |

so what is the best free software to burn with? |

I don't know what you use but my .cue file image is burnt in less than 3 minutes. And that to me is quite quick.
As for someone talking about using cue splitter, why would someone split an mp3 and then burn it's split files is beyond me unless you want to change the track sequence. Cue splitter is good if you want to extract individual tracks from a continuous set. |

- Nero works fine, it takes a long time to load the cue files it works.
- Stay away from 7.xx builds of Nero I think, apparantly there's a bad driver in there casuing burns to up. Don't quote me on this.
- Get the Winamp CuePlayer plugin to test your cue to see if it works.
- Cue sheet and files MUST be in the same dir and MUST match up (case-sens)
- Nero: file > open file > burn.

I use 7.xx. And you are right, it was ed up to start with - many of my CDs were having this "clicks" problem and it took me an awful lot of time to find out that the encoding dll was all messed up. Instead of reverting back to 6.xx, i reverted back the audio encoder dll (LAME).
The .cue file image is loaded in 2 seconds flat. The whole process has never taken me more than 3 minutes (From clicking on Nero Burning ROM to myburnt CD popping out). Again, don't quote me, cos i think i have faced this "long loading time" oroblem with the earlier version of Nero (Can't remember which one - i have used almost all of them over the years). |
