Mostly breaks labels aint they?
Good then, breaks is starting to go the way of the ASOT sound. Formulaic, un imaginative stuff.
Maybe this will be a kick up the arse for them all.
Make better tunes, sell more, more distrubtion work for the distributor. |

No.
There are some damn good labels up there that are facing some rough times with respect to vinyl production due to this. |

well i would question that how many people on here actually buy vinyl? i dont think it will effect that many i bet most people either download or buy the cd. I am probably one of the minority that still buys vinyl only. |
Whether people here buy vinyl or not is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that some of these labels still rely on vinyl to try and make some money as as the digital market is still in it's early days and is already saturated to the point it's hard to make your label noticed on Beatport unless its a hugely popular and known one.
Therefore, if some of these labels now can't make money, they will cease, plus some of them will be owed money from Intergroove which they can no no longer recover (same goes for physical records which are stored in their warehouse).
There's a whole range of labels that were on Intergroove UK's books, a lot of breakbeat labels, a lot of progressive labels also - if you want a list of what they pretty much covered go over to http://www.intergroove.co.uk/ and click Labels.
Whilst some of the bigger ones and the ones that have been established many years will find new distribution, others will struggle and again will cease or go digital only (which isnt necessarily viable for them all).
In regards to Cocoon - the label is not affected. Cocoon is mainly distributed by Intergroove Germany which althought it shares the name is a total seperate company to the UK one. |

| Yea, that is hardcore news, a lot of labels will close down because of that. Adapt or die. |

massacred the breaks scene it appears, never heard of them or any of those other labels mentioned except for Silver Planet :conf:

i dont know who this "Some" character is but they've been spreading these rumours for quick a while now. |
