2006.12.31. Sander Van Doorn NYE 2007 - The Boom Boom Room Windsor (pg. 4)

Wow, I looked into Resolution NYE in Montreal and I'm pretty amazed: great line-up, like 7,000 people will attend, Tiesto will be playing just about the time the sun comes up (5am-9am), the party goes from 9pm-11am.....but tix are really expensive, like $80 U.S. plus tax and all that (I think) [the price is not unreasonable but still a lot of cash]
I have a few Qs about both Montreal NYE and Sander in Windsor (if anyone has the time to answer I'd appreciate it):
1) Is SvD the only DJ spinning on NYE @ the Boom Boom Room? I would imagine that there would be some other DJs, right? Or is SvD gonna spin for like 8 hrs (or more) or something?
2) How big is the Boom Boom Room? How many ppl should we expect for the NYE party?
3) @ the Bell Centre, is there only one stage? Aside from Tiesto and Second Sun, will the other DJs be spinning trance or house?

Your looking at a 4+hr set from sander
Along with our residents who will start the night
Sander will hit the decks when the clock strikes 12
were finalizing the lineup fot the skybar (upstairs)

Another Q, considering the intimate size of the venue, what is the sound quality like? Those of you who have partied at the Boom Boom Room (Lisa for instance) what are you opinions on the sound? |

The sound quality is pretty good for the small club i have to say... since they did the renovations the sounds had definately gotten better...
I found it to be a little loud in Sky Bar for Steve Porter... but my ears don't ring far as much as they do after a Guv party night... so that says something about the sound quality in comparison to club size... the Boom Boom Room can bust out some quality bass and the sound of the other aspects of the music are still really clear
As long as your not standing right in front a speaker the sound is pretty quality!

SvD in the main room with all the lasers and smoke and stuff would be amazing!!!
He was incredible in the KH but I think he'd be even better in the main room, although if that was the case we'd probably been unable to get close to him for pics and stuff

That's true. when he was in the KH...we were able to get right up in there.
But still...he would be awesome if he played in the Main Room! He'll be back soon enough. It's only been a month since he was here haha
