Not really. Even with Rutgers winning probably one of the best college football games I've ever seen and the NY Empire State building adorning Scarlet Red (Yes, that was the reason), NYC is still more or less apathetic when it comes to college football.
Having said that....
1) It's nice to see Rutgers dominate sports talk across the country the day after, especially when fans in Los Angeles, Gainesville, South Bend, and Fayetville are jubilant with seeing Rutgers hand Louisville that loss.
2) I'd never thought to see the day local college football grace the pages of the NY Sports Pages. |

| Lol I don't mean it negatively, it's just rare that you catch New Yorkers routing for a Jersey team (rarer that we have a good team hahah) |

new jersey has the second most successful team (in terms of championships won in the 4 major sports) over the last 10 years behind the yankees in the tri state area. they are called the devils. unfortunately no one really gives a about hockey anyway.
back on topic...it was great hearing all the talk about rutgers the later half of last week on the radio. |

it's hard to root against a Cinderella team (especially one that has the potential to throw the BCS into chaos :) ) |

| hopefully they take care of business against Cincy this weekend, and get help from Cal knocking off USC, among others |

| Looking like all the talk about them being possible title contenders is going to be all for naught |
