hah, that was a great game. I miss those old Lucasarts point and lick adventure ones - they seemed to use real thinking power much more than recent games.

edit: yes, point and lick. you, I'm not changing it.

edit2: http://www.classic-gaming.net/game/400/ :thepirate

edit3: ugh, they require logging in and subsequently money to download over 50megs. this, I am going to bed. T.T

i just read this review of the original c64 game, and based on that i can say the only thing the games share is the title :p

btw, does any of you know an old platformer (side scrolling) game, your character is a mage of some sort? almost definitely a pc game, most probably dos based.

i have this vivid recollection of playing that game and loving it, but i've never been able to find it, the more time passes the more i believe i hallucinated it :p

edit: after digging through your list swamper, i think there's a small chance it could be:
code:
VIKING viking.zip 2-02-94 Viking Child 3 1.5 1

can you host it please?

p.s. lol @ virtual valerie :stongue:

http://www.abandonia.com is another good site for old games. I used to love adventure games, I tried to play as many as I could (sadly adventure games have all but died). The first Monkey Island game was my favourite for years (and Day of the tentacle after that).

Another game that took away the better part of my life was Elite: First Encounters. I played that one for months (still didn't rank as elite though).
