USC rules :) Living close to the area has its advantages so if you do decide to go that route, lemme know...I'm still a student myself :)

What would you suggest? Fei Fei

Is the PM function not working?

:stongue:

Move near SPUNDAE! You'll be close to all the clubs. :toothless
Psiweaver
what do you mean about the pm function not working?

Yeah but i'm not 21 yet so moving near the clubs ain't going to do me much good.
TSG
PM = private messaging.

Not 21 yet? aaah well that sucks! Nevermind, you might need to move near USC then.
Psiweaver

Downtown.... nothing goes on there at night and it's ghetto, but probably the only place around LA you can live in a high rise.

silverlake/los feliz hipsterville but pretty cool place to live, bar scene. Not sure about how good the food is though.

around usc... pretty ghetto, west adams area seems to have alot of students

Westside (santa monica/palms) ....... you'll die in traffic cause you'll be heading east, but lots of cool places to go to and eat at and you're not that far from the beach.

chinatown... it's ghetto around chinatown but the rent should be cheap here. There's an emerging art scene around here. Good food if you like chinese/vietnamese stuff.

artist district/ little tokyo is kinda cool, but yeah suffers from lack of things to do at night like the rest of downtown.
Psiweaver
definately trying to avoid the ghetto type areas. Don't have a great need to live a hi-rise.

IMHO, the *best* thing for you to do would be to take a weekend and look around LA and see which area suits your needs most. The campus itself (and right around the campus) is primarily college students (especially north of Jefferson Ave) and was the best for me but it was tough to get an apartment as the waiting lists were quite long. The sooner you look and make your plans, the better hances you have of getting what you want :-)

Fight On!
