as someone said earlier, as party music it is unbeatable. drum n bass is in a bit of lull atm innovation wise. the whole liquid scene is getting worn out but i still love all those hospital stuff.
logistics - now more than ever <<< this album is heavy |

I don't really know anything about d'n'b but the best damn party I was ever into was a d'n'b party.
I didn't recognize any of the tunes, I couldn't tell when the tracks changed but damn, the sheer power of those tracks... me & my mates were jumping around all night.
I wouldn't really listen to it at home (unless it's the more chilled, atmospheric type) but as party music it's unbeatable. |
Black Sun Empire are pretty chilled. Check out Gun Seller (Ok it gets a little more energetic later on, but hey), Stranded and Stasis. |

Hmm... I have to disagree with you there.
I have both of their albums (Cruel & Unusual and Driving Insane) including CD2 mixes and they are far from chilled. :D |

i like d&b. i like most of the stuff, from the smoother sound of bukem and ilk to the rougher jungle of the past and also some of the techstep & darkstep and whatever and of course the guilty pleasuse that is the cheesy side of trancestep.
and yes. B.S.E. are not chill, infact most of their stuff is pretty growling and aggressive. |

Okay I kinda said something I didn't mean to say there, the tracks I suggested are pretty calm, if you ask me. Dark Girl is pretty laid back as well, isn't it? |

| When I've seen LTJ Bukem, I'd call what he played anything but d&b.... :conf: |

Drum and bass is wicked but is getting a little stale atm. Pendulum are bringing the indie crowd more into drum and bass with their live shows with a full band but its what I hate more than anything else. If I hear RATM again I mite hav to kill someone.
Anyways u can split drum and bass into Jungle/Jump-Up?Liquid and Heavy.
Jungle (ambient)
Nicky Blackmarket 1995 onwards
LTJ Bukem 1995 onwards
Jump-up
Andy C, Friction, Mampi Swift, Hype etc
Liquid
Hospital Records loads more
Heavy
Therapy sessions with Panacea.
