If you asked me about drum'n'bass month or two ago, I would say exactly the same thing. Then I finally decided to give it some more attention and I don't regret it. :) As a matter of fact, 95% of music I'm listening to lately is d'n'b. :D Explore it, trust me, you won't be sorry. :) |

I don't really know anything about d'n'b but the best damn party I was ever into was a d'n'b party.
I didn't recognize any of the tunes, I couldn't tell when the tracks changed but damn, the sheer power of those tracks... me & my mates were jumping around all night.
I wouldn't really listen to it at home (unless it's the more chilled, atmospheric type) but as party music it's unbeatable. |

i think there were threads about dnb already... anyway i stopped listening to dnb in the end of 2004 and just some time ago started getting slowly into dnb again. in 2004 i like some stuff by concord dawm, ill skillz, panacea, dillinja etc, cant remember more names.
now i'd recommend every1 who is not really into dnb to check out some high contrast stuff (especially his first album), andy c, london electricity and other stuff from hospital label. now i'm really into aural imbalance' (dont think many people know him) earlier stuff, especially his mixalbum called different perspective. this is a must have to all people who like ambient dnb (otr intelligent, i think its called so:D ) also some desimal (r.i.p. desimal :() stuff is worth checking out, its pretty weird but you need to understand his music i think. i'm just tryin to do that... thats all for now. :)
also id like to ask : does the epic dnb exist as a sub-genre? i mean some mixture between dnb and trance? or even dnb with supersaws? :) that seems interesting! |

Word up man, Drum and Bass is killah.
My whole trip began when someone had handed me down...

Dieselboy - A Soldiers Story.
and i went from there...
Couldnt have it any other way...
DNB > Psy > Trance

I see. Lately i've been much into 80s stuff, depeche mode, progressive rock and lil bit of everything. I think i will be able to fit in some d'n'b. :) |

I have a friend who's a d'n'b DJ and he keeps telling me there is d'n'b for listening at home (for example Goldie's Timeless album) and d'n'b for playing in a club. I listen to both at home and I jump in my chair. :D Haven't visited a d'n'b event yet, but I'm looking forward to it. :) And yeah, those tracks really are sheer power. :D |

| Don't know if it's strictly "drum 'n bass" per se, but I love LTJ Bukem's jazzy stuff. I'm a lot like SMC though- I love what I hear, but I rarely get round to buying any deebee. Oh, and I love Pendulum, which is apparently heresy to a drum 'n bass purist. |
