Washing your hands (pg. 5)

I only wash my hands when I'm in a public restroom or at someone else's house just because I'd rather not infect them all with my pen0r diseases or whatever or vice versa. When I'm at home, I could care less because my dorm is pretty unsanitary as it is and I doubt washing my hands is going to help any. Probably the only time I wash my hands at home is when I get stuff on them (dirt, paint, whatever) or if I have a wiping accident (eww).
I HATE washing my hands in public bathrooms, though. I honestly think touching all the sink and the door and all that is more unsanitary than not washing your hands. Which is why I use my wrist to turn the sink on and do the soap thing and my elbow to operate the towel thing. Sure, you look kind of dumb, but I'd rather not get someone's urine residue all over my hands and eventually into my eyes or whatever. |

period - antibacterials have led to more asthma, allergies and general unwellness than any other item besides infant formula.
we *need* to get exposed to most cold-like sicknesses otherwise we get weaker in the long run.
you dont have to be a dirty person by not washing your hands 12 times a day. soap was figured after the roman era, modern anti-bacterials since the 50s...things havent gotten better. only worse| |

mostly this just terrifies me with the common horror that is everyday life nowadays.
everyone thinks that they are likely to die of ebola from a toilet seat - when, in actuality, they arent that cool. theyd need to travel more and find the dirtiest toilet seat in the world. (itd not have feces onnit, methinks)| |

I think ATHF is back in top form! Haven't found one of their episodes this good in a very long time.

Not saying you shouldn't wash your hands but beware of over sanitizing your child.
Children need germs to build up their defense mechanisms because if they don't they will easily get sick.
Children are kept in a safety bubble were everything is clean and they are only fed what they like ... which is why they also develop more allergies than ever before, they lose the capacity of adapting to foreign environments.
At least that's what I read :p |

| yup! as soon as i walked into work this morning, i ran straight to the bathroom to wash my hands because i had to touch a gas pump this morning when i was getting gas. :wtf: |

she drops her toys and then picks them up and puts them in her mouth all the time, i don't wash her hands (except durring her nightly bath) and i don't scrub her swing and other fixtures with anti-bacterial wipes like i see alot of other mums do. All i'm doing is making sure i don't get germs from public or the washroom in her mouth for obvious reasons but also the norwalk virus is going around where i live and that could potentially kill her.....in conclusion.. i can't believe i thought you were serious when you said you were some older dude that left his wife and child.:wtf: |

I wash them very often.
There is nothing I hate more than going to the washroom and seeing people NOT wash thier hands, it actually grosses me out.
When I was younger, I actually asked someone why they didn't wash thier hands, and they said they preform the " smell test ". I guess if thier hands don't smell, they don't wash them? Jesus lord! Discusting! |
