There would have to be an incredible amount of trust in order for it to work.

I wish you the best.

Champaign, IL ----> Honolulu, HI

4000ish miles. It sucks but is manageable. The key is that it is only temporary and we were living together before the big move.

ive been in a 1000 mile relationship twice and it was . don't bother imo. It leads to trust issues and not seeing your significant other for months at a time can take quite the emotional toll on your head

I could never do it for the simple fact that when I fall for someone, I fall hard and deep. Having those kind of strong feelings really interferes with other aspects of my life, and if I couldn't be with that person on a normal basis, it would definitely be detrimental to me.

I very much agree with this...

And yet, she lives on the complete opposite side of the country. I didn't choose this, but we chose one another, and I wouldn't want anyone but her. I guess you do what you can.

You find ways to communicate and "be together" though..phone, IM, etc...of course it's not the same as actually being together...and yeah, it takes a tremendous amount of trust. It's really hard sometimes...but when you find another person, especially that person, it's worth it.
