The drunk getting into the car and the accident are a broken chain of events as there are a multitude of interviegning actions that took place between entering the car and the collision. The "unbroken chain" is a series of events that happen in succession that could not be altered in order to arrive at a different ultimate consequence. Remember I'm talking legally here, Jamie, this is what I do. |

The problem is Jamie is talking morality but asking a question of law.... law and morality do not always square. |
