Computer Monitor Problem?
View this Thread in Original format

I gotta question about my comp. It seems my monitor is going bad cause everything is getting whiter & whiter. Almost to the point where i cant see much on the monitor. This started yesterday. Now to me it seems i need a new monitor. Especially since its a flat screen thats almost 5 years old. But just curious if its the monitor or the video card. Sorry i dont know much about computers & i dont wanna go out & buy a new monitor & then find out its something else.

Plus it has gotten alot worse in the last day.

i would imagine if you took a screen shot and shared it, and if we saw that it was overly bright, it would deduce the video card. but what do i know?

Try it on someone elses comp, see if it's still ed. Could equally be the graphics card (or just switch GC's if you have some lying about.

Either way you'll find out what it is from that.

It's the monitor - replace it.
