Well, good to know! Does the smell seep through pores as garlic/onions do? |
Not really, but it does make you sweat like a mofo. It's the reason curries can be so deadly. The smell of the garlic and other pungent spices seeps through the pores and the heat of the chilli makes you sweat heaps. |

I'll never understand the bad curry rep. It only makes those tall, dark handsomes more delectable. Either that or I starting craving coconut milk. |

Hey don't get me wrong I couldn't live without a good curry every once in a while. But it makes me smell like an animal.
PS as for that comic... many have learned the hard way not to go down on a girl after eating spicy food. |

Isn't a double blind trial designed to compare several items? What would you compare to chilli peppers, that was similar? I can't see a blindfolded person biting into a chilli pepper and going... "hmm i think it's a bell pepper". That is pretty unmistakeable. |

Double blind involves a control and an experimental group, but can be done with any number of experimental groups... You could have one group of 50 people given a dish, and then another group given a dish with some pepper extract (or alternatively used minced sweet peppers vs. minced spicy peppers). Take paper tests afterwards regarding mood. Compare.
Alternatively, injections of saline vs. lidocaine (active placebo) vs. capsaicin, take tests afterwards regarding mood. Compare. |
