It wouldn't work. capsaicin itself wouldnt cause release of endorphins. The pain that is caused by capsaicin releases them. |

Injection of capsaisin into anywhere with nerves nearby would cause some pain, for sure. |

So I ate a large amount of hot salsa. Afterwards I just let it burn my mouth for a while. Definitely felt more alert/awake. Could just be my mind, but I felt lightheaded and naaice.

I just had a Bhut Jolokia, rated at somewhere around 1 mill 30k SHU.
Just chewed for a minute then spit, then see who could go the furthest without drinking milk, yoghurt etc. It was only 50 NOK each in the pot so I copped out first and went for the milk after about 2 mins or something. It was ing horrible and everytime I exhaled it felt like I was breathing ing flames. The only thing that seemed to work was something cooler than my tongue constantly being moved over my tongue.
It was definitely the hottest pepper I've ever had before, and I'm so hoping my Moruga Scorpions are gonna come in nice this year and produce some blistering hot peppers 
To comment on the OP: The endorphin rush was pretty insane and very noticable. |
