Could you do that, I would appreciate it. If possible could you you use a trance track of something with some vocals?

at about 50 seconds, I start messing with the EQ' (I cant remember what I did...and after hearing it...I dont really understand what I've done! LOL )But you hear it go down to a full kill on ALL EQ's.

To me it sounds like at around 39 seconds you lower the bass then bring it back up, then at 0:51 you lower the mids then bring them back up, then at 1:01 you lower the highs, then the mids then the lows until it kills the sound. Then after you bring them all up some keraaazy FX goes on!

that makes sense :stongue: I did it like 3 years ago :nervous:

Thanks for that sample. I really like the full kills. I don't see what the problem is with the eq that people would say is bad. I'm thinking I'll go with the nuo 2 and save money to get some cdj's. The nuo will likley serve my purposes well. Thanks so much everyone for all your help.:)

BTW--I have asked the engineers at ECLER about the EQ's, and why some people would find them "different" than others.

Turns out they are pretty much the same as EQ's from Rane, Pioneer etc (LO: 80hz, MID: 1.5khz HI: 12khz).

The reason why it sounds different is because the ECER EQ's have a wide range of boost/attenuation (HI/LO = +10d/-30/KILL, MID= +10/-25db/KILL), so when you do a complete KILL on the MID, it seems to take away a lot because it is going down to a full -25db KILL...so it'll overlap more into the HI/LO.

It would be easier to explain on a chart or something...

i own a nuo4. mixer is for sure very mid heavy.. which isnt too much of a problem as along as you get used to them. But one thing that kinda bothers me is that you can't kill the gain all the way. I don't know if it's just mine that's doing it, but even after lowering the gain all the way down, you can still hear sound. After it lowers the volume to a certain point, it stays that way even after killing the gain. well.. other than that, everything about it is excellent. :eyespop: :tongue3  :tongue2 :toocool:

on a budget?

worth a read IMO. hell, unless you're planning to record you sets in .wav format, from vinyl, using some soundtastic card in your PC and then play your sets on an audiophile system, i wouldn't think one of those mixers would be a bad idea.

decent sound quality. good faders. 4 channels. none of the other mixers you can afford on a budget do this.

and A&H fans can stop flaming me before they begin - we know your mixer has excellent sound quality. but the fact of the matter is, your common bedroom DJ on a budget can't afford the equipment to be able to appreciate it.

thats because the gains arent supposed to kill...theyre +/-15db. Theyre only there to adjust the gain of your input....why would you want to kill the gain? Just put the fader down! Or kill all the EQ's...
