did you try to sing the American national anthem? did you go around with the American flag? were you telling the French how much they sucked, and how the US was the "greatest" country in the world?
you know when you're in a foreign country, you need some goddamn humility, and try to speak the local language and understand the local customs.

Well I'm not saying you were that stupid, but... I have travelled overseas with groups of American-born guys, and they were really rude and embarassing to be with. |

while you're completely wrong about RJT, i do agree with what you said. when i was in Greece i couldn't believe the rudeness of some of the Americans i was travelling with. especially since many of the Greeks we met were just sooo nice and helpful and just amazing people all around, and these middle aged women just acted like complete bitches to many of them... bring me more ice, i want this, what is this, i can't read this, etc... it was really embarassing. |
