| For those who own a PS3 with a 20GB or 60GB Hard Drive, Your in luck. You can now replace its Hard Drive with a much bigger one very easily. Check out the guide on how to right here. |

this is wonderful news...simply WONDERFUl
USB + External HD = HRMMMMM
lets start modding this , love to see an external USB with decks loaded onto it to emulate some old school games. Pop on the roms on that external and play through the USB port.
I lol at the infinite possibilities this will have. Recommend also to keep it cool for those PS3 owners. (i sold mines last night for 2,200 and buying a 20gb to do the above)

| The only thing is the PS3 uses a SATA notebook Hard Drive and the biggest one they have for them are 120GB. But I think its great cause now you can store your mp3s, Videos, PS3 game demos plus It supports Linux so that you can run Homebrew on the PS3:) |

| hmm, hybrid drives are coming out in the next couple of years (hdd + solid state memory in one, for those who don't know) I don't think I'll upgrade the harddisk till then, the 2.5" ones will probably hit the 300gb mark by then too. |

This is why the PS3 will likely be the most fun console to own. With its incredible specs and the literally endless possibilities that can become of its OS, I can see modders and hackers having a load of a fun time figuring out new ways to illegally make use of the PS3 hardware. my jaw drops every time i see the these guys have done with the PSP.
it should be fun to watch in the coming years. |

They knew they could limit the modding community this way, and make it less worth while for people to mod. |

I dont know, The highest SATA Notebook drive they have is 120GB, I'm sure as the months go by, We can expect bigger GB ones. |
